About MIH
The manually indexable head (MIH) is positionally repeatable in 720 positions and features an autojoint probe mount for fast, repeatable probe changing. This ensures compatiblity with most Renishaw probes except multiwire (e.g. TP7M). An integral LCD enables easy programming with the facility to memorise up to 20 probe positions. The MIH is designed for use with long probe extensions for larger components.

PAA autojoint to M8 extension bars, available in three lengths, allow standard two-wire touch-trigger probes to be fitted to autojointed heads, for example TP20 to PH10M or MIH.

Shanks are used to mount the probe head to the quill of the machine.There are a range of shanks suitable for all Renishaw manual and motorised probe heads (except PH6 and MH20), as well as the TP1 probe. There is also a range which is specific to the PH6 and MH20. The correct shank must be chosen to suit the mounting facility of your CMM.
Standard base diameter for all shanks (except PH6and MH20) is 41.35 mm - 41.45 mm (1.62 in - 1.63 in)
