ZEISS adapter plates are specifically engineered for the ZEISS VAST XXT sensor. As an alternative to changing the styli system, the ZEISS VAST XXT rotates to a feature's angle and increases the operational efficiencies and reliability of the measurements. This method also offers scanning functionality and accounts for form deviations of the measured elements. The refined bearing points of the XXT adapter plate ensures system stability a high degree of accuracy at the same time. Gold-plated contact points improve the electrical conductivity, which ensures a more robust data transmission. Since 2022, the VAST XXT adapter plates have been equipped with a new chip, which will in the future, enable similar benefits as the VAST measuring sensor regarding increase performance and integrate new features.
The adapter plate forms the central interface between the probe head and the stylus system. The stylus system is fixed via an integrated cube. Zeiss CFX extensions can be used for optimization. The Zeiss adapter plate is read out and recognized on the probe head when it is picked up. For a CNC-controlled automatic stylus system change, the adapter plate (including the stylus system) is placed in the XXT probe socket (620161-8510-000) or the XXT single probe soceket (620161-8511-000), which is located on the storage rack (MSR / ProMax).
